PROJECT 1
In this project, there will be two parts of it, which is project 1a and 1b. These both exercises will introduce the students on spatial quality and the relationship between archtecture - poetry.
PROJECT 1A
Students are required to choose 2 building as their spatial typology precedent analysis. One is spatial typology in linear, where another is concentric.
For linear, we chose Bagsvaerd Church by Jorn Utzon.
For concentric, we chose Villa Capra by Andrea Palladio.

After we understand how the spatial typology works and how form affects function, students will be given some literature works such as song, poem and short stories as their inspiration to create an architectural space. The building and programs itself will demostrate the literature work.
We chose Luka (song) and Free bird (short story)
PROJECT 1B
This project acts as a driver for student before project 3 (final project which they have to propose a Visitor Interpretation Center). In this assignment, they have to produce a presentation board that showcases their idea development and a video about site analysis.

As the final project of this module for semester 3, students are required to design a VIC according to their site, with the understanding of the site as well as the knowledge in term of culture, historical background, in relation to the site context.
I chose site 1 which provides a good 360 panaromic view to city and natural setting.

REFLECTION
Semester 3 is a great platform for me to learn...how to bring in cultural essence...the community strength...the humanity value and more else that symbolize how the life "works" as an individual, while architecture is not about practicality, but some sort of feeling that gives human recall or rethink how building as a medium to tell stories. Not saying we can go crazy and ignore about the logical idea such as construction and programming theories, but its still can integrate with other aspects mentioned above.
The spirit of the place representing the true meaning of the space that plays as, and its make a huge difference between what is architecture and engineering (on my opinion).
On the other hand, thanks to all the tutors that giving me much of the lesson that makes me realize how architecture works. I understand why tutor keep on mentioning for mock-ups and sketches, because its where the idea generated became better and better.
Of course, this is the first time for me to "experiment" computer 3d models and diagram creating skill, which is crucial in order to bring better visualization.
