Introduction:

This assignment evaluates oral presentation and speaking skills. It also evaluates the student’s ability to research information and present an effective presentation of his/her research. In addition, being a group assignment, each student will experience cooperating and collaborating with other peers as a team with a common goal. 

 

Objective:

  1. To provide students with basic oral presentation skills.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Ability to deliver an effective presentation by applying the elements of an effective speaker in four main areas namely voice projection, body language, content as well as organization of the content.  

  2. Analyse and listen to conversations in various interactive, social, professional and academic situations.

  3. Identify the main idea and gist from lectures and talks.

 

In Assignment Two, students are required to choose ONE of the ancient or modern wonders of world and describe the following:

 

  1. Historical background of the country.

  2. Structure and layout.

  3. Types of ornamentation used

  4. Type of materials used.

 

In our group of 6, my group members (Roy, Tristan, Dinh, Adam, Lee Jian Ru) and I decided to choose Colosseum as our title.

 

 

 

 

 

REFLECTION

I learned a lot about one of the seven wonders of the world through the researches. I am happy to given a chance to present about the materials that used in Colosseum building. With the cooperation of team members, we successfully recorded the video within the duration given.
